Octopus

Body: Crochet in the round.

Round 1: Crochet 6 double crochets in a magic ring

Round 2: Crochet 2 double crochets in all stitches = 12 stitches

Round 3: Crochet 2 double crochets in every other stitch and
1 double crochet in the others = 18 stitches

Round 4: Crochet 2 double crochets in every third stitch and
1 double crochet in the others = 24 stitches

Round 5: Crochet 2 double crochets in every fourth stitch and
1 double crochet in the others = 30 stitches

Round 6: Crochet 2 double crochets in every fifth stitch and
1 double crochet in the others = 36 stitches

Rnd 7 - 14: Work 1 double crochet in each stitch,
i.e. no increases = 36 stitches

Round 15: Crochet 4 double crochets and then 2 double crochets
together a total of 6 times = 30 stitches
Rnd 16 - 17: Work 1 double crochet in each stitch,
i.e. no increases = 30 stitches

Round 18: Crochet 3 double crochets and then
2 double crochets together a total of 6 times = 24 stitches

Rnd 19 - 20: Crochet 1 double crochet in each stitch, i.e. no decreases = 24 stitches

Round 21: Crochet 2 double crochets and then 2 double crochets
together a total of 6 times = 18 stitches

Round 22: Crochet 1 double crochet in each stitch, i.e. no
decreases = 18 stitches

Round 23: Crochet 7 double crochets and then 2 double crochets
together a total of 2 times = 16 stitches

Round 24: Crochet 1 double crochet in each stitch, i.e. no
decreases = 16 stitches

Round 25: Here the tentacles start: Crochet 1 double crochet.
and then 50 chain stitches

Turn and make 2 double crochets in each chain stitch, finish
with a double crochet.
This is repeated 7 times so that you end up with
be 8 twisted tentacles.
Finish with a chain stitch in the last stitch and
Pull the string through to finish the job.

If it is difficult to get the arms to twist, work 3 or 4 double crochets in each chain stitch in
instead, they become a little more twisted

For safety reasons, the tentacles must be max.
22 cm long when stretched out. If it measures more than 22 cm, use fewer chain stitches.

Covenant

Can be made in the same colour as the tentacles

2. Crochet 2 double crochets in all stitches = 10 stitches
3. Crochet 2 double crochets in each
   second stitch = 15 stitches.

Finish with a chain stitch and pull the string
through to finish the job.

Eyes

Crochet in single strand white. Make 2 pieces.

1. Crochet 4 double crochets in a magic ring
2. Crochet 2 double crochets in all stitches = 8 stitches
3. Crochet 2 double crochets in every other stitch =.
   12 masks

Finish with a chain stitch and pull the string
through to finish the job.
In the centre of the eyes, pupils are sewn with black thread.
You can use a single thread or embroidery thread.

The black pupils:

Crochet in black thread (you can split one
black thread so that there are only 3-4 threads so it doesn't
becomes so thick)

1. Crochet 4 double crochets in a magic ring
2. Crochet 2 double crochets in all stitches = 8 stitches
3. Finish with a chain stitch

Mounting

Fill the body with the desired filling e.g.
teddy bear filling and then sew the bottom on
along the edge. Sew the eyes on the octopus
The octopus can be varied according to your imagination.
