Drops Daisy is a soft yarn made from 100% extra fine merino wool. Daisy is not superwash treated. The wool fibres in this yarn are untreated, which means that they have only been washed and not subjected to chemical treatment before dyeing. This process preserves the natural properties of the wool, allows the fibres to breathe and improves both shape retention and texture.
Daisy is spun from 4 strands, which gives the yarn extra elasticity and results in beautiful, defined stitches. Daisy is ideal for cables, textured patterns and pearl knitting, and is perfect for patterns designed for Drops Karisma, Drops Lima, Drops Cotton Merino and Drops Merino Extra Fine.
The yarn's special construction with fine, delicate fibres makes the surface a little more sensitive. This is why it is best suited for lighter blouses and not for sportswear, for example. It's also important to treat the finished product correctly. Make sure to follow the gauge (knit too tightly rather than too loosely) and follow the washing instructions provided.
As with all Drops merino yarns, merino wool comes from free-range, mulesing-free animals in South America.
