Aran knitting is one of those types of knitting that almost tells a story all on its own \ud83e\uddf6
The distinct twists, textures and patterns create a classic and warm look that feels both traditional and timeless. This is knitwear with character! The sort where the stitches don\u2019t just lie neatly side by side, but form small patterns, cables and movements across the surface.
In this collection, I\u2019ve found four patterns for Aran-style knits for the whole family. There\u2019s a knitted jumper for women, a knitted jumper in a men\u2019s style, a children\u2019s jumper in sizes 2 to 12 years, and of course a knitted dog jumper for the family\u2019s four-legged friend \ud83d\ude09\ud83d\udc3e
What all these patterns have in common is the classic Aran style, where cables and textured patterns help to create depth and detail in the knit.
Aran knitting is particularly well suited to cosy jumpers and winter projects, as the textured patterns often produce a rich and warm result. At the same time, it\u2019s a technique that makes the knitting process itself exciting, as there\u2019s always something new happening in the pattern.
The adult jumper (both the women\u2019s and men\u2019s styles) has a classic look, whilst the children\u2019s jumper offers the same lovely Aran feel, just in a smaller size \ud83e\udd70 And of course, our four-legged friends must be included too when we\u2019re knitting soft and cosy garments for those chilly days \ud83d\udc36
