Cast on 56 stitches

  1. Knit 1 row
  2. Take out 1 stitch on each side
  3. Knit 1 row
  4. Increase 1 stitch on each side so that in
    Everything has 60 meshes
  5. Knit 20 stitches - knit 20 stitches (becomes stockinette stitch when purling on the back) - knit 20 stitches
  6. The middle 20 stitches in stockinette stitch
  7. RS: Knit 20 stitches - knit 2 together - knit 16 stitches (becomes stockinette stitch when the back is purled) - skip 1 stitch - knit 20 stitches
  8. WS: 20 stitches knit - 18 purl - 20 stitches knit
Explanation: The centre 20 stitches: Decrease 2 stitches (on either side of the centre 20 stitches) on every other RS row until 2 stitches remain.

1 row of holes: 2 knit stitches wrapped - 2 knit stitches
are knitted together. This gives you 20 holes

Continue in rib: knit 2 and purl 2 for approx. 4
cm.

You can decorate with a border of mussel shells
or small bows with chain stitches.

Sew the sock together at the edges to form a
small sock

Twist two strands together and tie a small knot
each end. Pull this through the holes and
constitutes tie wraps.
