KNITTING SPEED:
17 stitches in width and 42 rows in height with helpline and 1 strand of each quality on 3.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm.
20 stitches in width and 27 rows in height with stockinette stitch and 1 strand of each quality on 3.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm.
REMEMBER: Remember that the needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to thicker needles or if you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to thinner needles.
