Lotte's Easter Chicken

Body

1. 6 sc in magic circle
2. 2 sc in each sc = 12 sts
3. 2 sc in every other sc = 18 sts
4. 2 sc in every third st = 24 sts
5. 2 sc in every fourth stitch and
   1 sc in the others = 30
6. 1 sc in each st
7. 1 sc in each st
8. 1 sc in each st
9. 1 sc in each st
10. 1 sc in each st
11. 1 sc in each st
12. 4 sc and then 2 sc together = 24 sts
13. 1 sc in each st
14. 3 sc and then 2 sc together = 18 sts
15. 1 sc in each st
16. 2 sc and then 2 sc together = 14 sts.
    Put in the teddy bear filling. Stuff it a little extra tightly.
    It can easily be shaped at the end. Finish crocheting with
    decreases as described:
17. 2 sc and then 2 sc together - continue
    with these decreases until it is a small point
    Top. Staple the end and shape the chicken a bit like a
    Eggs.

Eyes

Eyes are sewn with three ribbing stitches over two double crochets.
Three strands of black acrylic yarn are used here.

Beak

Crochet 3 chain stitches. Turn and make two slip stitches (two chain stitches and one double crochet in the first
chain stitch) - repeat this to make the other side of the beak. Sew on in the centre just below
The eyes.

Feet

Crochet 5 chain stitches. Turn and make 4 double crochets.
Staple the end.
One or two rows of single crochets can be made
More if you want your feet a little bigger.
Sew on at the bottom.
