Lotte's sofa pocket

Recipe no: 026

About the recipe

Lotte's sofa pocket

1 ball Fylkis Krea yarn tube

12 mm crochet hook

Sofa pocket can be used on the armrest of an armchair as shown in the picture or on the armrest of an office chair with a simple clip.

Sofa pocket

1. Start with 20 chain stitches
2. Turn with a chain stitch.
Crochet a single crochet in each chain stitch
3. Turn with a chain stitch and continue until there are 47 rows (or a little longer if it fits better with your chair/sofa)
4. Turn with a chain stitch and continue with double crochets, but only use the front chain
5. Turn with a chain stitch and continue with double crochets for the next 8 rows
6. Turn with a chain stitch and continue but only in the front chain
7. Turn with a chain stitch and continue with double crochets (both stitch loops) for the next 10 rows.
8. Finish and staple the end

Pockets

9. Shape the pocket by bending the work where only the front loop was used. It will come a little by itself as the work will have a small "kink" there. Help it a little and shape it into a pocket.

10. Both pocket ends are made by picking up 9 stitches at the end: Start at the end of the work, pick up the 9 stitches and make double crochets in 7 rows. Turn with a chain stitch for each row.

11. finish by attaching to the pocket flap with chain stitches (down to the first "kink"). Finish and fasten off the end.

12. Turn the work and repeat step 10. The pocket is shaped and ready to use immediately.
