Drops Baby Merino is a fine merino wool yarn in 100%, which is particularly well suited to soft projects worn close to the body. The yarn has an even texture, producing beautiful stitches and a lovely finish in stockinette, rib, lace and textured knits.
This yarn belongs to yarn group A and is well suited to patterns requiring a finer gauge. It is a good choice for baby and children’s knitwear, but can also be used for light blouses, cardigans, tops, shawls and accessories for adults. Drops Baby Merino is superwash-treated and can be washed on a delicate cycle, making it practical for garments that are worn frequently.
The merino wool comes from free-range, mulesing-free sheep from South America. The yarn is cable-spun from several fine strands. The yarn’s strands therefore have extra elasticity. This makes it particularly important to keep an eye on your tension and to knit a little more tightly rather than too loosely.
